Sulfur is an element on the periodic table which can crystallize naturally without the addition of any other elements. It usually occurs as sulfides (pyrite, galena, etc.) and sulfate minerals, not as oftenin its pure native form. Typically, Sulfur forms in powdery yellow coatings or in masses rather than individual crystals like these, making this specimen even more special!
